Word Cloud

For Thing 12 of the 23 things NB, I had to do a word cloud with Wordle. It's not something I ever did before but it was pretty straightforward. All I had to do was copy-paste a text into a box and a word cloud was generated with the words that appeared most often. The problem was thinking about what to copy paste. I would have liked to take a whole book, that could have been quite interesting, but of course I had no way of copy pasting the content of an entire book. Instead, I decided to go for song lyrics. I was pretty proud of my idea. So I ended up doing a word cloud for Eminem's song Lose Yourself. Now pardon the language here since we all know that Eminem can run off his mouth from time to time, but here's the result:

Next, I tried with the description from a book on Goodreads. I chose Gone Girl, since at the moment I cannot think of a better book! Here's the word cloud for that:

I had fun playing with the colors and the font. There's also a way to decide if the words are horizontal or vertical, or whichever way! I thought it was pretty cool. Honestly though, I'm not sure what I would use that for. I mean I love words and I have since I was a little girl. I remember before I could even write I would ask my grandma (who babysat me) to write down random words for me. I have always been a writer at heart. So I think this is pretty neat and fun, I just don't really know what I would use it for.
