I loooooove Pinterest and I actually use it quite a lot. I do prefer the app for Pinterest a lot more than the website. It just flows more easily and it's something you can do while walking or waiting in line somewhere or waiting for someone and so on. At the beginning, I made my Pinterest account as a sort of Eminem fan thing, that's why my username for it is GabyLovesEminem (btw if you're interested you can follow me!!), but then I realized what pinterest was. I still pin some Eminem stuff, but it offers so much more than just fangirling!
When I started off, I was really into the exercising ideas and the recipes. I mean there are tooooons of stuff out there and I got all excited and wanted to do everything. Like the do-it-yourself body lotions and body scrubs and oils and face creams and so on... but THAT didn't last. I'm like that sometimes, I get a little over ambitious and think that I can do everything. I did keep some of the ideas. For example there's this recipe for body scrub that I found that I use once or twice a week. It's so easy it's sugar, oil (I use coconut, the pinner used olive - either will work) and citrus juice. I saved it and still use it. But I haven't tried all of the facemasks and beauty tips and stuff. However, the contouring for makeup is just wonderful and I attempt it once in a while. I gotta say, I saw this humour pin once saying something like "I gotta go to the store to get this and this and that to do something I saw on pinterest that you can make with stuff you have lying around the house" and it is completely true. Pinterest makes me waste all my moneyyyyyy!!!!
Anyway, now I still use it for the beauty tips and the workouts and the healthy (and not so healthy) recipes, but I've calmed down a bit. What I do now is look through humor at night until I fall asleep. So really all of my pins are repins and they are mostly from the humor category. However, I might want to start pinning. I read something interesting in the NB23 thing for this week saying that you can add a pin it button, and then pin from the websites you are visiting... hmmm isn't that interesting. I'm going to look more into that later!
For now, I just used my personal account (which again you can follow if you want to) and I already had a "books" board. I went and followed the NY public library which have amazing pins. I was already following Chapters (or Indigo) but they were mostly pinning about things than about books. Anyhow, I don't really look at the board of followers that I have, I mostly just browse by category.
