Twitter

So today, for the 23 Thing NB, I set up a Twitter account. I am very familiar with Twitter and I've actually had an account for quite a while now. I chose not to share my personal account on this work blog; it's mostly about my husband to be..............

Anyway.....

I created this Twitter account when I was doing my student internship with the AWK regional library and never really used it. I decided to tweak it a little bit and turn it into a young adult book suggestion type of thing! And I will actually try to maintain it and suggest teen books once in a while!

So basically, what I'm saying is that I was already familiar with all the Twitter lingo, including tweet, hashtag, the @ symbol and so on, although I have to admit I didn't know that the username was called a "handle." It seemed a little bit odd to me! Anyway I was successfully able to create this Twitter account and follow library related people (and of course Eminem too!) I followed some of the authors that I currently like, like Kiera Cass and Lauren DeStefano. I'll look into it more closely in the future, and hopefully be able to attach my Twitter feed to this blog so everyone can see!
